First label / batch preview
These are item numbers. Label Ninja does not connect to Whatnot, import buyer names, print automatically after a sale or create shipping postage.

Number labels for your items
Use this tool when you want a sequence such as #1 to #50 ready before your show. Put each number on a sleeve, bag or storage position and keep the same reference in your own item list. Buyer and order matching remains manual.
Whatnot Sorting Labels
Whatnot has a separate Sorting Labels beta for selected sellers. It uses Whatnot Tray to print sale details. Label Ninja's number batches work independently. If you need that automatic workflow, check Whatnot's Sorting Labels eligibility and setup.
Shipping labels with postage
Generate shipment labels in Whatnot Seller Hub. Whatnot offers 4 × 6 thermal and 8.5 × 11 paper formats. A number label from this page cannot replace postage. Use the official shipping-label instructions.
02 / Match your stockWhat size are the number labels?
Choose the size of the labels already in your printer. Each PDF page uses those exact dimensions. Screen previews are enlarged; the PDF page is the physical-size reference.
| Stock (inches) | PDF size (mm) | Use |
|---|---|---|
| 1 × 0.5 | 25.4 × 12.7 | Compact item numbers |
| 2 × 1 | 50.8 × 25.4 | Bag or sleeve numbers |
| 3 × 2 | 76.2 × 50.8 | Larger show references |
Check your printer's minimum width and supported label material before buying stock. A PDF size being available here does not mean every thermal printer can feed it.
03 / Print one page firstHow do I print the batch at the right size?
- Choose the stock and number range above. Open the settings in the studio and download your PDF.
- Open the PDF in a viewer with paper-size controls. Choose your thermal printer and the matching label dimensions.
- Select 100% or Actual size, one PDF page per label, and no added margins. Check the orientation in the preview.
- Print only page 1. Measure it against the stock before printing the remaining pages from the same PDF.
The first-page test uses the PDF you already downloaded; it does not require another export. A changed number range creates a new batch when you download again.
If the result is tiny, rotated or cut off, follow our Whatnot label printing troubleshooting guide before changing font size.
04 / Before your showCommon questions
Does 50 labels use 50 free prints?
No. A completed PDF containing 50 labels uses one batch. Your account includes 10 PDF batches total across all Label Ninja tools, with up to 200 pages per batch. The allowance does not reset monthly.
Can I use a different prefix or continue an earlier batch?
Yes. Use a short prefix such as C or SHOW-, or leave it blank. To continue after #200, set the next range to 201–400. Numbers must be between 1 and 999, with no more than 200 in a single PDF.
Can I use my phone?
You can set up a batch and download the PDF on a phone. Printing depends on your printer's mobile support and app. If its print dialog cannot set the right paper size, open the same PDF on a computer.
Can this print shipping barcodes or buyer names?
This feature creates sequential item numbers only. It does not know which buyer purchased an item. Use Whatnot's own shipment tools for addresses and postage.
