Privacy policy
Label Ninja is a free, browser-based thermal label studio for Amazon FNSKU labels, warehouse bins, Whatnot show numbers, custom barcode labels and resizing shipping labels to 4 × 6. There is nothing to buy and we take no payments. This page says what we store, what stays on your device, and who else is involved.
Last updatedThe short version
- Label Ninja is free. We take no payments and collect no card details.
- The shipping label to 4×6 converter works in your browser. The label file you load is not uploaded to us.
- Accounts are optional. The studio needs a free account to download PDFs; we store your email and a hashed password.
- Studio PDFs are rendered on our server. The label details are not kept after rendering; signed-in users' PDFs are kept up to 7 days.
- Shopping links may earn us a commission. The site may also show ads; our ad partners, used or applied for, are Adsterra and Google AdSense.
- Email chris@bisket.com to delete your account.
This summary is for convenience. The sections below are the policy.
1. What stays in your browser
Designing a label happens in your browser. Uploaded artwork, dragged elements, barcode previews and settings stay on your device until you choose to download a PDF or save a project. Closing the tab or clearing site data removes unsaved local work.
The shipping label to 4×6 tool opens and crops your PDF locally in the browser. The shipping label you load is not uploaded to Label Ninja's servers.
2. Optional accounts
You can use Label Ninja without paying anything. The 4x6 shipping label converter needs no account. The label studio uses a free account to download PDFs, save projects and keep your recent exports. If you create one, we store your email address and a salted PBKDF2 hash of your password, never the password itself. Signing in sets one cookie, ln_session, which is HttpOnly and Secure and expires after 30 days or when you sign out. A password reset sends a single-use link to your email that expires after one hour.
3. PDF exports from the studio
When you download a PDF from the studio, the label specification (text, barcode values, sizes and any images you placed) is sent to our server, rendered into a PDF and returned to you. The specification is not kept after rendering. If you are signed in, the finished PDF can stay available in My Exports for up to 7 days before scheduled cleanup removes it; you can delete it sooner.
4. Saved projects
If you save a project, its name and settings, including any label text and artwork, are stored with your account until you delete it. Nothing is saved unless you choose Save.
5. Advertising
Label Ninja is free and may show ads to cover its costs. When ads run, they appear on public pages in clearly marked slots. The ad partners we use or have applied to use are Adsterra and Google AdSense. These companies may use cookies or similar identifiers to choose and measure the ads they show. They do not receive the contents of your labels or the files you crop. We do not run pop-unders or redirect ads.
You can limit ad personalisation through your browser's cookie settings and, for Google, through Google's ad settings.
6. Shopping and affiliate links
Some printer and label supply links are Amazon affiliate links. As an Amazon Associate I earn from qualifying purchases. Shopping sections disclose these links before you click them.
These are ordinary links, not embedded Amazon tracking scripts. Opening one takes you to Amazon with our public referral tag. Amazon receives your visit and may use cookies under its privacy notice. We do not add your label text, uploaded files or account details to shopping links.
You buy from the retailer, not from Label Ninja. Prices, stock and compatibility must be checked on the listing. Purchases are optional; all Label Ninja tools remain free.
7. Abuse protection and logs
Sign-up, sign-in, password-reset and export requests are rate-limited to keep the free service available. Server logs record request outcomes and error codes, not the content of your labels.
8. Other services
- Cloudflare hosts the site, the API and the database, and sees requests the way any host does.
- Fonts are served from Label Ninja with the rest of the page assets.
- jsDelivr serves open-source libraries the tools load in your browser.
- Resend delivers password-reset emails. It receives your email address and the reset link.
- The ad partners listed above.
We take no payments, so no card or billing details are collected.
9. Children
Label Ninja is built for sellers and warehouse work. It is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
10. Changes and contact
If this policy changes, the date at the top changes with it. Label Ninja is operated by Christopher Lucas. For privacy questions or account deletion, email chris@bisket.com.
